ĀTMĀNUŚĀSANA – PRECEPT ON THE SOUL by Ācārya GUṆABHADRA (ca. 818–900 A.D.) [221]

Note 1:
Yudhiṣḍhira was known for his truthfulness. Aśvatthāmā was the name of Guru Droṇācārya’s son and also of a war elephant. When the elephant Aśvatthāmā was killed, Yudhiṣḍhira agreed to say these double-meaning words, “Aśvatthāmā is killed,” to Guru Droṇācārya, resulting in his casualty in the battle.
