Gātha 100
O noble man! Before your present life, marked by right faith (samyagdarśana), you had acted like the ‘ajākṛpāṇīya’ [note 1], without pondering over what needed to be accepted and rejected in this world. Whatever little objects of happiness you got were obtained by the logic of ‘andhaka-vartakīya’ [note 2].

‘andhaka-vartakīya’ – A blind man spreads his hands and, by chance, catches a sparrow.
Note 1:
‘ajākṛpāṇīya’ – A man took a she-goat for killing but could not find a knife. The she-goat started digging the surrounding earth and, by chance, a knife was found there. The she-goat was killed.
