47. By Him who sprinkles the forest of life, the village well wheels, as it were, which are provided with Avasarpiṇī and Utsarpiṇī after the manner of a bucket, have been often turned over.[1]

[1] Comment: Mayāraghaṭṭikeneva eka-deśe samudāyopacārāt parivartāḥ pudgala-parāvartā ativāhitāḥ | ghaṭi-saṃsthānena parivarta mānābhir (avasarpiṇy-)utsarpiṇībhiḥ parigatāḥ sametāḥ | bhava eva duḥkha-daśābhiḥ saṃkulatvena vanam abhishiñcatāsrava-dvāra-saṃgalitaiḥ pāpa-payobhiḥ | āraghaṭ(ṭ)iko 'pi vanam abhishiñcann araghaṭṭa-parivartān bahuśaḥ parivartayati | tatra ghaṭī-mālā-mūlād ārabhya paryavasāna paryanta ekaḥ parāvartaḥ | te 'py ānupūrvyā sthitābhir ghaṭībhir upetāḥ syuh ||
