27. Love and hate, the unruly, like two horses leading the soul astray, stop at the mere sight of your teaching, O Charioteer of the Law.[1]

[1] Comm.: He dharma-sārathe! tava dvādaśāṅga-rupe pravacane dṛishṭe vishamau durjayau rāga-dveshau manaḥ | panthā jñānādyāt-mako mārgas, tasmād itara utpathas, tena avatishṭhete.... nintā turayavva uppaheṇa aṇaṃ ti (Cod. Appaheṇa). Yathā durdāntau turagau anah śakatam utpathena unmarge (na) nayantau sārthaṃ pravacane prājana-daṇḍe dṛishṭe pathy evāvatārayatas tadvad ihāpi.
