The minimum duration for the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh guṇasthāna is 48 minutes each, the maximum duration for the first is infinite, for the fourth has a maximum of 33 sāgaropamas, for the fifth 1 koṭi pūrvas maximum, in the sixth, if the spiritual aspirant remains one antarmuhūrta without pramāda, he goes to the seventh guṇasthāna.
