2. Consideration by Christians that this Jesus prophesied by the Jews in Isaiah 7.14 is defined right at the beginning of the NT as this same Messiah of the Jews and is thus based on the authority of the Jewish prophet Isaiah, see Matth. 1:22-23.[1] The second expected coming of this Messiah is placed at the time of the Last Judgment, cf. NT, Revelation. This returning Jewish/Christian Messiah has the ability to read minds and perform miracles. According to a Roman Catholic priest, only Jesus and not even his apostles had these abilities.
