External decision-making in the event of differences among members is considered voluntary withdrawal from the community. The financing and maintenance of an upāśraya with bhāṇḍāra and dharamśala is borne by the laity through the OM-ARHAM Foundation. No debts may be incurred, no money may be accepted from the state, money from the execution of wills and legacies may not be accepted. Jain law applies to donations.[1]
