- Entry and exit occur according to ascent or descent on the kṣapakaśreṇi. Descending from the 5th to the 4th guṇasthāna is the change from active to passive member. When a jīva attains aupaśamika, he must have made the three karaṇas, but he has not made the three divisions of matter. In this case, she falls back to the first guṇasthāna, but does not have the maximum time to stay. When she rises again, she must attain kṣāyopaśamika since a jīva can only have this type of aupaśamika once.[1]
