Article 1 [6 of 16]
Gaccha (parish) [6 of 20]
Requirements [5 of 10]
- Members are of THREE kinds, a. active and b. passive and c. spiritual aspirants [5 of 6]
b. Passive members of this church are the sympathizers of the Jain doctrine who want to recognize or learn the way that leads to salvation and accept the Reality of the five kinds of knowledge.[1] This path also serves to support non-violence in general, which can be achieved through self-study. They excel in supporting the Kevalajñānavinayatāpasya-saṅgha. Since liberation is not possible without knowledge, access to Jain scriptures will guide them on how to ascend the 14-ary ladder of spiritual purity of the soul; however, they cannot be elected to the Church Council.
