Chapter 5 – A Line of Demarcation between the first four and last four Yogadṛṣṭis [75 of 121]
Chapter 5.4 – The Fallacious argument (kutarka) [31 of 32]
An advice of Haribhadrasūri [9 of 10]
From the niścaya nāya (real point of view) all omniscients are equal [7 of 8]
Lesson from the example:
The various religious performances of aspirants, whose nearness or farness to the omniscience depend on their various religious performances practiced by them. They have obtained different stages on the path of spirituality. On the basis of their varied spiritual eligibilities their nearness or farness to the omniscients is decided. Though the aspirants differ from one another with respect to closeness and farness, they all are worshippers of an omniscient person. Similarly, many attendants of one king, who may serve the king with different services are called his servants only. This is how the example given by our author is most apt in the present context. After giving the example our author repeats to conclude that the noble persons (mahātman) should contemplate over the fact that even though the great personages differ in name etc. they are not mutually different in essence.[1]
